Chunky chain necklace

Love the necklace- the chain is perfect and the colours of the stones are beautiful. My one criticism of it is why are the stones not fixed onto the chain? Each time I fasten it I'm mindful not to let them fall off. Doesn't make any sense why they're not fixed.
