At Decadorn, every collection begins with a feeling.

Sometimes it’s inspired by colour. Sometimes by a particular stone. But for our newest collection, The Dome Edit, it all started with shape.

Soft, curved and beautifully tactile, the dome cut brings a completely new look and feel to Decadorn jewellery. Designed to catch the light from every angle, the smooth rounded surface creates depth, glow and movement within each stone.

Handmade to order in our Bath studio, The Dome Edit introduces a brand new shape for Decadorn, available in pendants and earrings featuring some of our best-selling semi-precious stones.

We had a chat with Helen to talk about the inspiration behind the collection, the meaning behind each stone and why this new shape feels so special.

Q&A With Helen, Founder of Decadorn

What inspired The Dome Edit?

“I kept coming back to the idea of touch and texture. I wanted to create jewellery that felt smooth, comforting and almost instinctive to wear. The dome shape has this beautiful curved finish that you naturally want to hold onto or run your thumb across.

It feels weighty and luxurious, but also timeless. It gives the stones a completely different presence.”

Why did you choose a domed cut for the stones?

“With a flat stone, you admire the surface. With a domed stone, you start to see inside it.

The light moves through the stone differently and brings out all those natural inclusions, flashes and layers of colour. Every stone suddenly feels more alive and unique.

That’s what I love most about semi-precious stones. No two are ever the same. They all have their own character, energy and soul.”

For this collection, Helen selected a curated edit of Decadorn’s most-loved translucent stones, chosen for their depth, glow and natural beauty.

The Cool Edit

Moonstone

Known for intuition, femininity and calm, Moonstone has a glow that feels almost luminous within the dome shape. Soft flashes of light appear beneath the surface, making every piece feel magical and understated. It's also a birthstone for June. 

Aquamarine

Inspired by serenity, courage and the sea, Aquamarine feels fresh, calming and effortlessly wearable. The domed finish enhances its clear blue tones and gives the stone a fluid, light-catching quality. Aquamarine is also the March birthstone. 

Labradorite

Labradorite is our best-selling, signature stone and has always been so captivating. Associated with adventure and transformation, its flashes of colour become even more striking beneath the curved dome surface.

The Warm Edit

Peach Moonstone

Soft, nurturing and full of warmth, Peach Moonstone brings a gentle glow to the collection. The domed cut enhances its natural peachy tones and subtle shimmer beautifully. Another birthstone for June, making it a lovely gift for June birthdays. 

Peridot

Associated with positivity, abundance and wellbeing, Peridot adds a vibrant pop of green to The Dome Edit. The curved surface intensifies the stone’s brightness and natural energy. It's an August birthstone too.
